Ageing Healthily Interactive Workshop
To age healthily, we need to focus on a combination of physical activity, a balanced diet, stress management, social connections, and continuous learning.
Come along to an evening full of interactive education to help manage your health, live as independently as possible and maintain your quality of life as you age. A topic of interest to be covered include Dementia prevention as requested by many of our previous attendees. Bring your questions along to ask our medical professionals for some more insight into healthy ageing.

Your hosts for the evening will be Dr. Peta-Ann Teague, Dr. Courtney Smith, Grant Hancock

Appointment bookings will be available at the end of the session.

Please bring along a gold coin donation to go towards the Better Healthcare Foundation to be able to continue providing free education sessions to our community. This is not compulsory at all but will be greatly appreciated.
Neuro-Spicy Eaters
eurodivergent (Neuro-spicy for a bit more fun) is a term that describes individuals whose brains function in ways that diverge from what is considered 'typical' or 'neurotypical'. It includes individuals with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other cognitive differences. Being neurodivergent can affect how a person thinks, learns, processes information and interacts with the world.
It is important to recognise that the relationship with food can be significantly different for neurodivergent individuals. These individuals may experience heightened or diminished sensory sensitivities that can lead to strong preferences or aversions to certain food textures, smells and tastes.
Come along to this free interactive workshop with Annette to learn more about sensory sensitivities, executive functioning, emotional regulation and routine and structure when it comes to neuro-spicy eaters, and how you can implement strategies to make life easier for a neuro-spicy family.
